Advertising

This page explains how advertising is handled on Hashtag Ideas. It is written for both visitors and prospective advertising partners.
Current status
Advertising is disabled on this site. Pages render without ad units, and the site is designed to be complete and useful with advertising switched off entirely.
Our advertising principles
- Content first. No advertisement will appear before the page's primary content and copy controls become usable.
- Clear separation. Advertisements will never sit directly beside a hashtag copy button, and will never be styled to resemble a button, card or navigation link.
- No misleading formats. No fake download buttons, no pop-unders, no automatic redirects and no placements designed to cause accidental clicks.
- Moderate density. A limited number of slots per page, with the majority of the viewport reserved for content.
- No ads on thin pages. Advertisements will not be placed on error pages, empty search results or utility pages.
How placements are decided
The layout reserves a small number of clearly marked regions for advertising. Each region is rendered by a single reusable component, which makes it straightforward to audit every placement on the site and to confirm that none of them sit next to an interactive control.
Personalisation and privacy
If personalised advertising is enabled in future, the cookie policy and privacy policy will be updated before any such change takes effect, and a consent mechanism will be provided where legally required.
